The Victor Valley region is experiencing a surge in residential and business growth. To meet the demand of the growing population, our water supply and wastewater facilities need to expand. Current projections show a shortfall of water and a need to expand wastewater facilities over the next 20 years.

As our valley continues to grow, the already high demand for water will only increase. VVWRA is meeting the challenge with the expansion of wastewater treatment facilities and increasing the recycled water supply. Recycled water is a drought-proof water supply that can be used for landscape irrigation, firefighting, industrial cooling and process water. Using recycled water for irrigation conserves drinking water supplies for residents and businesses.

Recycled water has been used in California, Florida, Hawaii, Texas and other areas in the United States for the past 75 years.  Recycled water sites are strictly monitored and regulated by VVWRA, the state Health Department and other regulatory agencies to protect the public’s health and safety.
